Everyone's been so focused on James Bond’s new fleet of supercharged Aston Martins that we’ve totally ignored the other cars that will be tearing around No Time To Dieim电竞官网-. For shame.
im电竞官网-They’ll be involved in just as many stunts, scrapes and chases as 007’s custom-built motors, but probably won’t come away looking so clean. Just take a look at this brief snippet from the recently released TV spot, showing a bunch of 4x4s catching some serious air-time around the 8-second mark.
im电竞官网-See that? Well here’s a screenshot, in any case.
According to Mark Higgins, the former professional rally driver who acts as Daniel Craig’s stunt driver, every car scene in No Time To Die is as real and terrifying as it looks.
“I think a lot of these films are going away from CGI and trying to make it as real as possible,” he told us. “The environment we were driving in was very, very restricted and very, very tight.”
im电竞官网-During filming, one big problem they ran into was the grip on the cars. Higgins had an innovative solution, however.
“So one of the things we did to get over this […] was actually spray Coca Cola on the road," he revealed. "We’d do that in the morning when the sun came up, and let it dry for about 20 minutes. It increased the grip level maybe two- or three-fold.”
The clip, if we’re not mistaken, also shows a submarine/aircraft hybrid racing through the skies and wading through a waterlogged facility. Apart from that, there’s not a huge amount there that we haven’t seen already.
No Time To Die is out on 3 April
