Watching Steven Chu's performanceim电竞官网- looking into the Solyndra scand... er... potential series of 2012 attack ads was to be struck by two thoughts:
1) The Nobel Committee made the right call in giving a prize to Chu, and not to Darrell Issa.
2) That if Janet Reno had stood up this way against the Republicans back during the Clinton years, the country might have been saved a lot of nonsense. The two worst decisions made during those days were a) allowing the Republicans to bully Robert Fiske out as Whitewater special-counself in favor of that sheet-sniffing yahoo, Ken Starr, and b) allowing Starr to extend his investigation of a very unsuccessful land deal into an investigation of Clinton's very successful penis. Chu showed today how you stand up to nonsense being paraded as fact, and to the "criminalization of policy differences," which bothers Republicans a great deal when it comes to their selling missiles to terrorist nations, but not so much when it comes to throwing whatever's at hand at the wall to see what sticks.
